and Supply (CRiSPS),
University of Bath
Christine’s
specialist field of research is strategic supply management. Her
particular interests include the development of the concept of supply
strategy, a holistic approach to supply networks, formulation of
strategy for supply networks, complex confederal public sector supply
networks, international comparative studies of public procurement,
the study of perceptions in supply chains, focus and roles in supply
chains, e-procurement, and supply chain performance. She is Co-Director
of the research partnership with the NHS Purchasing and Supply Agency
on supply strategy in the health sector, helping to innovate service
packages and redesign the supply network to serve end customers
better, and to deliver government objectives. She has been Principal
Investigator on a number of research projects, including the EPSRC-funded
Inter-Organisation Networks project, the e-Business for SME Supply
Chains project funded by the DTI and BT and the Future Potential
of e-Procurement within the United Nations. Christine is the current
President of the Health Care Supply Association.
