Chief
Executive,
Sheffield Teaching Hospitals
NHS Foundation Trust
Andrew is Chief Executive of the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS
Foundation Trust. He joined the NHS as a management trainee and
has been a Chief Executive for 19 years. He has worked in roles
across the NHS, including community services and regional offices.
He was a founding member of the NHS Foundation Trust Network, which
he chaired until July 2006. He has undertaken two secondments to
the Department of Health, firstly to lead the Millennium project
ensuring that the transition to the year 2000 went smoothly across
the NHS and secondly as Director General of Provider Development
for one year from July 2006.
